- I am an open minded person. I normally evaluate changes and opportunities. I enjoy the fact that am self-driven, self-motivated and am able to cooperate with others for a healthy competition.
- Normally, i tend to leave very small margins of error which is pleasant to my clients as work is perfectly done but my employees think that I am too strict. Also I expect the work to be done in the shortest time possible that means i expect very fast results which is not always possible because cleaning some areas need more time.
- I also forget to delegate duties which results in work piling up all in a bid to deliver perfect services to our clients.
My name is Mercy Nduta Miringu Kamau
I’m the Director of MaysisLogistics Company. MaysisLogistic Company is a limited company situated in Thika town in Kiambu County. The company deals in cleaning services and supplies. Before that I was working as a sales personnel in a cosmetics store for a decade.

Back in 2013, .I saw the scarcity of organised cleaners in our town and i thought i can bring a solution to the problem. That’s how the idea of a commercial cleaning company was birthed. I registered my company in the year 2019. The company deals in commercial cleaning of offices, hospitals, schools, churches, warehouses, hotels and air bnbs. I also deal in domestic cleaning of homes, cleaning seats, carpets and cars interiors.
My normal day at work starts at 7:30 am. I start the day off by reading my emails and messages. This way i can reply to my clients and have everything organized at the start of the day. Then I look over my to-do-list and get started on the projects with top priorities. I spend most of my morning brainstorming and strategizing about the company’s projects. The remaining hours of the day i spend on scheduled meetings and that’s where i pick what to do on the next day.

Our planning on how to go about our duties sometimes takes a long time which then brings about procrastination.
I take long walks when i want to think deeper. I also collaborate when i have limited time, or encourage my employees individually.
I use my social media accounts for marketing and communicating with my clients. I also use it to build my business network.

Nevertheless I am planning to launch new products in the near future. I will be a happy and satisfied entrepreneur when the new products hit the market.
To a new entrepreneur I would advise them to focus on building a business with a legacy by doing what they do so often that they do it better than anyone else. They should create a business that solves a problem. If you ask most failed business owners what problem they solved, they either can’t answer or the problem they solved wasn’t urgent enough.
