Mwea Constituency To Produce One Gubernatorial Candidate – Ndambiri

All leaders from Mwea Constituency will support one of their to contest the position of governor during the 2027 General Elections.
The political leaders, from Kirinyaga county’s most populous constituency have taken the initiative in order to secure the most senior county political seat in the country.
Yesterday, former area deputy governor Peter Ndambiri made the revelation during an address to Mwea residents during an impromptu meeting.
“As leaders, we must keep our ears on the ground as part of continuous engagement with the residents of Kirinyaga,” the former deputy governor noted.
During the meeting, Ndambiri discussed various issues with the constituents as he promised not to let them down if they supported his bid.
“Recently, we had a meeting with all elected and formerly leaders in Mwea where we agreed that this constituency will never field more than one person for the position of governor. The leaders promised to support me and I hope you will not let me down,” Ndambiri told the huge gathering at Kanjinji Murinduko Ward.
He told them that he was optimistic of winning the gubernatorial seat when next elections are held.
Ndambiri is credited for initiating several development projects in his home constituency as well as in other parts of the county when he served as deputy governor under Ann Waiguru before they fell out ahead of the last General Elections.
