A prayer shields me, keeps pain away,
Flowers bloom along every path I stray.
Not a single tear drops from my eye,
My father raised me, with a mother’s lullaby.
Worries and sorrows leave me behind,
When my father’s prayers for me align.
My hair burns in strands, fine and light,
My father raised me, calling me his delight.
He’s my secret-keeper, loyal and wise,
Never asked thanks, no need to disguise.
He bore harsh winters with quiet grace,
My father raised me in a mother’s embrace.
When I lose my way, my father’s my guide,
No sorrow can find me with him by my side.
I bloom with joy when childhood I recall—
My father, who loved me like a mother through all.
