In a significant transition that took place at the Administration Police Headquarters, Jogoo House, James Kamau, handed over the reins of the Deputy Inspector General of Administration Police Service to Mr. Gilbert Masengeli.
The ceremony marked a pivotal moment for the Administration Police Service, as leadership changed hands in a formal event attended by high-ranking government officials and dignitaries.
The outgoing Acting Deputy Inspector General, has served with dedication and commitment, steering the Administration Police Service through various challenges.
During his tenure, he was instrumental in implementing critical reforms and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the police service.
His leadership has been characterized by a strong emphasis on professionalism, integrity, and community policing, which has significantly contributed to the security and safety of the nation.
In his farewell speech, Kamau expressed his gratitude to his colleagues and the government for their unwavering support. He highlighted the achievements of the Administration Police Service under his leadership and emphasized the importance of continuing the momentum of positive change.
“It has been an honor to serve in this capacity. I am confident that under the capable leadership of Masengeli, the Administration Police Service will reach new heights and continue to serve the Kenyan people with dedication and integrity,” Kamau stated.
