The youth have been urged to register as voters overwhelmingly in a bid to determine the direction of their future.
Nyeri senatorial aspirant Nick Mararo likened the voters card in governance to money in the economy.
“A voter’s card is the political currency just as money is the economic currency and all should be well armed” noted Mararo.
He was speaking during a funds drive in aid of completion of an AIPCA cathedral at Chaka town in Kieni constituency in Nyeri county.
During the ceremony, Jubilee Deputy party leader and presidential flag bearer Dr Fred Matiang’i through a phone call by the senatorial aspirant urged citizens to maintain peace and harmony even as political temperatures rise.
He urged the youth to register as voters in order to participate in determining their future.
The senatorial aspirant pleaded with the young generation to mobilize themselves and ensure they are all enlisted by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ahead of August 2027 General Elections.

Mararo reiterated retired president Uhuru Kenyatta’s advise to citizens to elect leaders and not politicians whose only benefit is rhetoric that adds no value to Kenyans.
The Nairobi based businessman advised the youth to accept whatever jobs available adding that participating in menial jobs in the US did not hinder him from rising to become one of president Uhuru Kenyatta’s strategic advisors and successful businessman.
During the funds drive, Mararo delivered contributions from the retired Head of State and the former Interior Cabinet Secretary and pleged to tag the two former state officers to assist in a future harambee.
Mararo who will be the Jubilee party’s flag bearer will be facing former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando, governor Mutahi Kahiga, as well as businessmen King’ori Wanjohi, Phillip Mugweru and Duncan Gituanja among others as the current holder wahome Wamatangi switches to the gubernatorial race.
He described the senatorial seat as the mouth, ears and eyes of the citizens.
He vowed to optimise his closeness to the people to listen to their needs, see what needs to be done and speak to the authorities on their behalf.
After the fundraising event, Mararo met Pool Table game and Darts players at Kiawarigi and Gatura trading centres in Mathira constituency where he awarded the two indoor games players with prizes.
