No boundaries to human endeavor

He won in 2000 and 2007 only to lose in his third term bid in 2012. Despite the first three defeats he went ahead and won two consecutive terms fulfilling his wish to serve the people of Senegal as their president though he lost again in 2012 he had already reached his climax in politics.
- Former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva ran for that position in 1989, 1994 and 1998, ranking second on each occasion. He ultimately won by landslide in 2002, and was re-elected in 2006. His unwavering faith eventually yielded results when he got elected into office.

Those born and lived in Kenya before mid1990’s will bear me witness that in those days the phones used were landlines not mobile phones. As we came close to the new millennium is when the mobiles phones were introduced. Those who required to make calls via phones used to line up at the telephone booth locations to secure a chance to pass that crucial information through the phone.
Since not all locations were connected to telephone in case of crucial message and the letter could take long before getting delivered messengers were dispatched to convey the message. This used to be effective though tiresome so people continued seeking for cheaper and simpler means of communication.
Upon introduction of mobile phones the initial buying costs were high even the calling charges were high but this did not deter those who could afford to go ahead and purchase as they needed comfort from long queues and privacy when communicating. The ability to talk from some areas which were not connected to landline became a game changer.
Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt tried a hand in soccer in 2018 when he trained with the Central Coast Mariners in Australia. He banked on his fast pace to give him an upper hand over the fellow players but this did not turn to be a success to him. Despite not enjoying great success in soccer Bolt he was a great performer in athletics who won a record eight times and up to now he holds record of the fastest man in the world.

Abraham Lincoln was an American lawyer and statesman who served as the 16th president of the United States from 1861 until his assassination in 1865. Before his assumption to the highest office in the land he had tested his hand in other positions but was unsuccessful.
In 1832 he lost job and was also defeated for state legislature, 1833 he failed in business, 1838 he was defeated as speaker 1843 and 1848 he lost nomination for congress, 1849 he was rejected for a land officer position, 1854 he lost race for USA senate position, 1856 he was defeated for nomination for Vice President, 1858 he suffered another loss in USA senate but in 1960 he won the presidential race.
No serious person in any competition is happy when he gets defeated but loss should not deter you from continuing to do what is important in life including participating in that competition for another time provided you have good chances of emerging as the winner.
Like a farmer who gets discouraged by poor rains or parasite infestation on his crops resulting to poor yields but continues with his farming in the following season with the hope of better harvest and at times innovates other ways of watering his crops like irrigation and also researches for pest and disease control measures. In life we should take any setback as a lesson and prepare what to do if such adverse events occur in future. We should not hesitate from doing what is important to us claiming that there were setbacks in the past.
A child training to walk usually keeps falling unless he uses walls or other structures for support but that does not deter him from continuing with the training till that time he not only uses objects around him effectively to support himself but is able to walk independently.
If you like to own and live in a big house you do not need to wait until you earn money to have its plan you need to figure it out so that once you get money you just implement your ideas. You need not to be heart broken by any challenge that you may face in an attempt to legally actualize your dreams aware that whatever physically exists was just a thought at one time.
The university professors usually starts their education at the basic level of nursery school only to climb the academic ladder over time till they reach the premier institutions and become the part of the management. As they grow up other staff were holding the positions they have now but that did not discourage them from working hard to enjoy similar status to those who are highest ranked in the society until their efforts yield to the present positions they have today.
