DCC Juja Sub-County Mr. Charles Muriithi accompanied by Subcounty police commander Madam Phillis Muthoni has warned that, no liquor joints within Juja area will be allowed to operate without a valid licence from next week. The leaders said these while addressing a public security baraza at Witeithie where they warned that, no police officers stationed by the government to work in any police stations within Juja that will be allowed to engage with any liquor business within Juja Sub-County.
Mr Muriithi said that his office has received numerous complaints of land grabbing on public utilities by some individuals & including private developers & warned that any community land acquired illegally will soon be reclaimed & the documents be nullified to ensure that the land will only benefit the area communities in terms of building the health centres & public schools.
The leaders agreed to engage with KPLC to ensure that all cases of power outrage in Muthaara, Maraba & Kibute including loose electric poles that are a major threat to the lives of the community will urgently be addressed. They warned that all residents operating with illegal power connections will be disconnected & culprits be prosecuted to avoid any loss of lives.
Madam Phillis also said that police are on a mission to nub a notorious suspected serial killer who is currently at large after being engaged with heinous criminal activities in areas of Muthara & Maraba where several losses of lives was reported. The lone serial killer named “Wagathanwa” is alleged to have hacked several people at Muthaara area some months ago before he went into hiding.
During the meeting, the leaders introduced the new Witeithie police station OCS Mr. John Sankare who was posted from Kisumu to Witeithie a week ago. The officer assured the public that he will serve them faithfully & urged them to cooperate inorder to reduce the rates of crime, illegal illicit and drugs within the area.
