Nomzekelo Bazana
My name is Nomzekelo Bazana and my stage name is called Jamakazi Bazana.
- Where are you from?
First, continuing on who I am, my parents are Mr Thembekile Templeton Dlamini Mrs Mamsiza Iris Faku Bazana) I’m a twin and my twin’s name is Nomzekeliso Bazana Jamelihle and, I hail from Mpondoland and particularly in Lusikisiki in a village called Tshandatshe in the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa but I’m based Johannesburg.
- What’s your area of speciality?
I am a versatile musician, opera, jazz, African indigenous music, gospel, I compose my own music and one of my songs that I composed telling a story of one of the south Africa struggle icon, Mama Winnie Mandela was sang at Eastern Cape for the O.R.Tambo choral festival competition, additionally I am a G.b.v. activist and I do my activism through musical storytelling.
- What are the highlights of your career?
I am from a spiritual family and musical and as a result, my career started at a tender age I’ve performed in various activities from school level,and I’ve entered numerous competitions. I’ve performed at national events international events I am a vocal trainer in schools community choirs and churches in various provinces of South Africa and Swaziland career achievement I’ve won numerous from childhood to adulthood and also 2022 I’ve won as the best soloist of Tshawe choral music competition association (TCMA)held at tshwane recent I was invited at a National television film awards to sang A national anthem on 27 October 2023 I was awarded in the inaugural global literacy gala.
- What are your aspirations?
I spire to get more opportunities that will show case my talent and make a difference through my God given talent in my community and Africa at large.

My future plans is to make a lasting legacy through music globally.

I do get some gigs from the government. However I still need more support of my craft .
