Worth Noting:
- This is where he can freely express himself as a hero and no one is able to challenge him as they do not know his truth. If someone with his history of being a weak student and sportsperson appear he is likely to remain mum or speak issues which could not lead to you knowing his true character at school. He hates anyone who could expose his weaknesses.
- A visit to a doctor due to illness you are required to inform him the true picture of your situation even if he will observe and do tests your narration of how you feel is an important part of the diagnosis.
My plainness of speech makes them hate me, and what is their hatred but a proof that I am speaking the truth……………….. Socrates, Apology.
In the bible book of John chapter 8 verse 32 it says then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. This was Jesus talking to the Jews who had believed him urging them to hold to his teachings and they will be his disciples.
There is liberation which comes from knowing the truth as you will no longer do guess work rather you can comfortably be able to evaluate the options at your disposal confidently as you have facts in hand. However it is not mandatory for you to keep telling the truth you have.
Its greatest use is to help you make informed choices of your next course of action or review your previous decisions.
In the start of chapter 8 the same book of John in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around Jesus, and he sat down to teach them.
The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?
Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left.
The action of going away of the teachers of the law and the Pharisees shows how they feared the truth about their past actions.
Human beings are social in nature. They enjoy interacting with others, learning new ideas and comparing the way they do their work.
Much as they love associating with others they are unhappy whenever they discover they are weak in most of the areas as they like to outshine their colleagues that is why you find someone who looks inferior in one location tends to move to another location where he can dominate for example a student poor at school in both academics and extracurricular activities is likely to be boastful about their school while outside the school and in absence of school mates.
This is where he can freely express himself as a hero and no one is able to challenge him as they do not know his truth. If someone with his history of being a weak student and sportsperson appear he is likely to remain mum or speak issues which could not lead to you knowing his true character at school. He hates anyone who could expose his weaknesses.
A visit to a doctor due to illness you are required to inform him the true picture of your situation even if he will observe and do tests your narration of how you feel is an important part of the diagnosis.
Owing to the fear of consequences of not telling the truth like wrong diagnosis which could lead to wrong treatment, more pain, economic drain and general deterioration of your health situation you will tell him the truth even if it is a body part or history that you never reveal to someone else situation will force you to disclose. The beauty of this disclosure is that the professional code of conduct for the physicians prevents them from publicizing client’s confidential information to the public unless it is under special circumstances like court order or such other situation so you will feel safe with the physician knowing the truth about your health situation.
Had there not been restriction for the physicians not to disclose client’s information many would be hiding or misrepresenting importance information like names and place of residence so that even if you reveal the information no one could easily correctly trace them as they fear their private details being exposed.
When dealing with a lawyer intending to represent you in court in a certain case he will ask you to disclose your issues relating to the case no matter how much private they may seem so that he can give you the best advice on how to deal with the issue and adequately argue it in court.
Aware that disclosure of a material issue may lead to him relying on it while pleading for your release you are likely to disclose it to him. He may also use that confidential information to know which areas in your case to avoid emphasizing on if he wants to minimize putting you in risky situations.
Similar to health professional code of conduct lawyers are not supposed to ordinarily publicly disclose the information concerning their clients so you remain safe even after telling him the truth. If there were no such regulations under the law many clients would be unwilling to disclose vital private information and their cases would be poorly presented lowering chances of them getting justice.
In many divorce cases former couples try to avoid going to court unless it is absolutely necessary as there are a lot of confidential issues they are forced to make public hence losing the privacy making most of them feel shy especially when dealing with anyone who was present in court during the proceedings. This is how humiliating truth can be.
In all communities there are specific courteous words for certain parts of the body and certain acts which if openly called by their real names would be inconveniencing the audience more so when those present are of different age groups.
