In a bid to enrich its observations and recommendations to the House on the twin Bills; the Finance Bill, 2025 and the Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill, 2025, the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning yesterday conducted extensive consultations with a number of government agencies.
The engagements were conducted virtually on the sidelines of the ongoing preparation of the report on the two Bills set to be tabled in the House on Thursday.
The Committee brought to the attention of the government agencies some of the issues raised by stakeholders and members of the public during public hearings on the two Bills which concluded last weekend.
Among those who were in the meeting that was chaired by the committee chairman and Molo MP Kuria Kimani were National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi.
