Nyeri County Women Representative Rahab Mukami Wachira has intensified her campaign in a bid to retain her seat.
Ms Mukami is riding on her development record across the county where she has been involved in empowering the youth, women and people living with disabilities.
She has over the years donated empowerment tools to such groups in every corner of the county, a move that have seen thousands of locals’ standards of living raised tremendously.
Apart from those groups and individuals, she has supported hundreds of bright but needy students in secondary, tertiary and universities with bursaries.
Ms Mukami is facing opposition from among others, Ms Njeri Njoori of Jubilee, Jacinta Wahome of The Service Party (TPS), Rose Waikundi of Chama Cha Kazi (CCK), former County First Lady Margaret Karungaru who is an Independent candidate and Ms Wanjuhi Njoroge, also an Independent candidate.
