Nyeri County gubernatorial candidate Dr Thuo Mathenge has met with a European Union delegation over the upcoming polls.
Dr Mathenge met with Kirsten Muller and Rikardo Marelic at his office along Marua-Kiganjo Road.
The two have been long term European Union Observers and are currently with European Union Elections Observation Mission Kenya 2022.
The duo enquired from Dr Mathenge who is the frontrunner in the county gubernatorial seat how the campaign exercise was going on in the area.
“I indulged them in what has been happening including the defamation 411 messages sent by my opponent Kahiga with the County Funds to turnish my good name and that of the TND Party,” Dr Mathenge said after the Saturday morning meeting.
He continued, “At the same time I informed that the matter is in the reports of IEBC and relevant authority waiting their imminent action regarding the same”.
The New Democrats party candidate further observed, “I also assured them of peaceful campaigns and elections with only 23 days to go with high hopes of a win to serve my people with what I have promised them in my Manifesto through what have managed to do practically and in my private capacity”.
