Today, when President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laments about books and reading culture, there is deep meaning. First of all, the book is a great treasure that elevates the spirituality of a person and literally lifts him up. Secondly, the book is a historical memory, a torch that reminds us of our great ancestors, whose descendants we are.
A book is an inextinguishable light that illuminates the paths of life, a source of happiness that gives meaning to a person’s life, a loyal friend that accompanies him in any situation. There is no tool as powerful as a book to ensure the spiritual maturity of a person. That is why, from time immemorial, enlightened leaders and wise men have called all mankind to read books and learn the secrets of science and manners from them.

In order to widely promote reading and increase young people’s love for books, 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Philology of Bukhara State University were sent to libraries for practice. During the internship, students held various events promoting reading, various contests such as “Zukko Kitabkhan”, “My Favorite Work”. Vayisova Dilnurabonu presented the book “Life Begins Where You Lose” by the famous Turkish writer Mirach Chagri Oktash. For 1 month, students got to know the library. After all, a book is a lamp of the soul, a wing of knowledge and thinking. In particular, it is quite special to feel a unique smell that spreads from a book and cannot be found in an electronic publication, and to read it from its pages.
