“Literature is an essential part of a society as it reflects the spiritual beliefs and values of the people. In the current challenging times, it is crucial to utilize the influential force of literature to connect with people’s emotions and motivate them towards virtuous objectives. We should learn from our ancestors’ legacy and create remarkable literature that represents our rich culture. When literature, art, and culture thrive, the nation and its people unite, and humanity coexists harmoniously”.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev
Uzbek writers have always been in the hearts of the whole world. There are many poets who have their place in the world. Among them, Alexander Feinberg contributed a lot to this. With his works and translations, he managed to win the love of Uzbeks, Russians and many other peoples. Although stability was not observed in his work, his written works indicate that the poet has deep meaning. With his translations, Feinberg proved to the whole world that the literature of the Uzbek nation is distinguished by its attractive tone. Even if our poets have been writing for years, we can say that they have reached the pinnacle of literature. This proves that our poets have a mature character.
Some people in life leave a permanent mark on the human mind. There are innumerable images on Earth, but each one has its own inner world. They are like snowflakes that are never identical. There are figures who uncover the human heart with their words, and they possess a great talent from God. These talented people, called poets, communicate the feelings and experiences of people in beautiful manners through their art works.
One of these talented people is the poet, translator, screenwriter Alexander Feinberg. The poet, who experienced the tough times of World War II in his childhood, was born in 1939 in Tashkent. His name and work are dear to Uzbek readers and poetry lovers. His works display the kindness, generosity and goodwill of the Uzbek people.
The poet obtained his degree at the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan) in 1965. “The sun, the air, the earth, and the water sustain all living things, and the life of the people encourages the writer. The more talented the writer, the more experienced the penman, the more the people will admire him, the more they will respect his work and literature in general,” said Abdullah Qakhor.
