Abdurasulov Nuriddinjan
In the realm of memories, my childhood resides,
A tale of resilience, where strength coincides.
At five and a half, I stepped into the school gate,
But the teachers hesitated, unsure of my fate.
Undeterred, I returned, day after day,
Until the inspection committee came to survey.
They saw the issue, they understood,
And with their questions, my story they pursued.
Khadija, my first teacher, by my side,
With Shokhrukh, my companion, we’d stride.
In first grade, Sayyorakhan taught with care,
Six boys, eleven girls, a classroom so rare.
I topped the class, at the pinnacle I stood,
While Shakhnoza, the poet, expressed her mood.
With classmates, a ball game we’d play,
Creating joy from socks, our makeshift way.
Childhood unfolded, a cherished treasure,
As my best friend, my uncle, brought pleasure.
If the moon were ours to hold and keep,
I’d ask you not to devour it, but let it sleep.
Two stars, one fierce, the other meek,
Together we shone, unique and sleek.
Sitora, a lioness, memorized with ease,
But I, too, excelled and brought her to her knees.
Scorpion fans, both chillingly cool,
A fight ensued, breaking friendship’s rule.
The planet’s teacher intervened and struck,
For biting, my friend faced the teacher’s luck.
As we advanced, middle class arrived,
Teachers tested, their patience derived.
But he, the rebellious, clashed with their might,
Yet on the football field, he soared in flight.
Dildora, a tempest, always in haste,
A fight occurred, and our bond was misplaced.
But a fortunate child, I found a true friend,
Shokhrukh, my uncle, on whom I could depend.
If Shokhrukh was there, he’d flee with the sheep,
Escaping the life of the rich, so deep.
Eight grades passed, with laughter and strife,
A fight erupted, bruising the fabric of life.
Abror struck me, my eye swollen and sore,
Fear engulfed him, guilt pierced to the core.
Anger surged, vengeance sought its release,
A stone thrown, shattering tranquility, peace.
On my way home, a passerby inquired,
Who caused the bruise, my truth I conspired.
I claimed I fell, a lie to protect,
But guilt gnawed within, my soul deflect.
Dilshoda, stubborn, couldn’t wait for the end,
Snowfall beckoned, a blizzard to transcend.
Eleven girls against six boys, they’d play,
Molding snowballs, conquering the wintry fray.
Senior class arrived, Qodir led the way,
Girls stood tall, boys held at bay.
Yet amidst the turmoil, seventeen souls,
Love blossomed, entwined like intertwined scrolls.
Nine years embraced, May 25, 2017,
Sadness lingers, memories in pristine.
Reluctant to part, yet time’s judgment prevails,
Classmates turned lovers, a bond that never fails.
Now, a new chapter, a university tale,
Where I blossomed from shy to gregarious, without fail.
Always engaging, laughter my shield,
Even when hurt, my mirth never concealed.
Thirty-one comrades, a vibrant group,
Dildora, two names, each with a different loop.
One eager for knowledge, the other somnolent,
Contrasting personalities, within them both lent.
Farangis, a blogger, her words race,
A beautiful girl, needing moments of solace.
Fierce and genuine, her voice resonates,
A shout that deafens, as the room navigates.
Marjona and Otabek, youth’s tender embrace,
Marjona, a beacon, with a gentle grace.
Mamura, wise and giving, the group’s guiding light,
Akmal, a friend silent, his presence shining bright.
Gozlalkhan, both beautiful and shy,
Exuding charm, captivating every eye.
December brought a connection, a girl named Dinara,
A friendship budding, a bond to carry afar.
Elnura, intelligent, always with a laugh,
Her love for reading, a knowledge-filled path.
Quarrelsome yet kind-hearted, a friend so true,
Elinura, a spirited soul, forever in view.
Lobar and Nurkhan, artists of wonder,
Their drawings, masterpieces, pulling us under.
Durdona and Khilola, friends through thick and thin,
A bond unbreakable, forever akin.
Ulugbek, an aspiration, Shokrukhkhan in his sight,
With negative thoughts, his mind takes flight.
Aziz, a voice so captivating and clear,
A charmer, conversing with girls, his forte dear.
Abdumalik, my first friend, a bond that remains,
Visiting his home, shared memories in grains.
Nodirbek, devoted to football’s allure,
A player of passion, when untouched, so pure.
Lochinbek, seldom in class, yet brilliance he displays,
A street full of brothers, the path he surveys.
Barno, not always vocal, her love endures,
A loving mother, her warmth ensures.
Surayya, on vacation, but her presence still strong,
Inviting me to celebrations, where friendships belong.
Gulnoza, once our leader, a fierce soul,
Now residing afar, in Kashkadarya’s role.
Kunduzkhan, a seeker of knowledge profound,
In conversation with her, fascination surrounds.
Bakhtigulkhan, kind-hearted and smart,
Never speaking harshly, a friend that imparts.
Munisa, a companion, forever in jest,
Jokes and laughter, a bond that’s the best.
A charismatic entrepreneur, leading the way,
Listening and supporting, each and every day.
Zarifa, the one with idioms in store,
Memorized phrases, inviting rapport.
Shakhistahon, always worried, laughter rare,
Yet in our hearts, she finds a place to share.
Feruza, once wild, now adorned with a hijab,
A good-hearted girl, her cooking a fab.
United we stand, a group that excels,
Fighting battles, creating stories to tell.
From Russian dances to Welsh steps so grand,
We danced with fervor, united, hand in hand.
Maftuna, Nurkhan, Marjona, Abdumalik too,
Danced like professionals, hearts imbued.
In our group, harmony reigns supreme,
Thirty-one souls, one body, one dream.
Through years that passed, our bond held tight,
A testament to friendship’s resolute might.
In the realm of memories, we will forever reside,
A tale of camaraderie, eternally tied.
For we are not just classmates, but lovers, it’s true,
Forever connected, our hearts beat as one, me and you.
