He notes,
“Today I met all the Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs) of the five (5) Education Zones and the Sub County Director of Education in Mbeere North to deliberate on ways we can work together and other education stakeholders to support improved performance in our schools.
We have agreed that my office will provide intentional and targeted support to the CSOs to perform their roles in assessing and supporting teachers and schools to ensure standardized and quality uptake of the curriculum and instruction for proper students’ performance.
We have also unanimously resolved to have zonal educational days to sensitize parents and teachers on the need to provide firm and deliberate support to schools management to facilitate students with the right learning environment for optimal performance.
My office will ensure the CSOs have effective mobility to implement standard assessments across their zones.
I was delighted that all the CSOs have expressed willingness and intent to work with my office to implement systemic changes to instill the spirit of fresh and procedural steps to better performance in all schools in Mbeere North.
Also in attendance was NG-CDF Committee Chair Jervasius Nyombyekothe and NG-CDF Committee Member John Kiamati, both of whom are champions of quality education in our community.”
