Mrs. S. Sumathi, hailing from Tanjore district, has the degree of M.A (English) & B.Ed. She had worked in Bharani Park Matric Hr. Sec. School, Karur, for 8 years and has been working in Sri KGS HSS, Aduthurai, Thiruvidaimarudur TK, Thanjavur Dt, a Govt aided school since 2012.
Her passion is teaching. Many students were inspired by her motivating words. Her goal is to get Dr.Radhakrishnan’s “The Best Teacher” Award. She is a budding short story Writer. One of her short stories was published in “Sparkles of Short Stories”, a book by TNSB teachers and “Spitfire Soul”.
She started writing poems only by the month of June 2020, during the lockdown period in the great group of wonderful writers “Creative Writers.” She has written more than 1000 poems so far on various topics. Her first 100 string of poems was published by December 2020 in the name of “String of Pearls.”
Her second book of 100 drizzles was published in 2021 as ‘Drizzling of Verses.” Her third book of 185 quotes “Replica” was published in June 2022. As the next step in her writing journey, she made her students write short stories and it was published as a book in June 2022 “Streaks of Short stories”.
Her next collection of 100 poems “Oasis” was published by December 2022. She collected reviews and appraisals from her well-wishers and published them as a “Slam Book.” Apart from this, she has been a co-author in “Rainbow of Verses”, “Mesmerizing Honey Drops”, “Profound Writers Anthology”, “Echoes” , “Glitters of Creative Writers”, “Bouquets of colourful emotions”, “Forbidden clouds” and “The beauty of creation and love” – the World Book of Records, 1111 poems written by 1111 poets.
Her articles and poems were published in Namaste India, an E-magazine and Mt. Kenya Times. She is a receiver of “Kalvi Ratna Award”, ”Arivu Sudar Gandhi Award”, ”Kalam Arivu Maamani Award”, “Best Teacher 2020 Award”, “Woman of Excellence Award”, “Creative Writer Award” “FCP Excellence Award”, “All India Best Writer (AIBA) Award”(2021) and (2022), “Sirandha Kalvi Sindanaiyalar Award”, Paavendarin “Semmozhi Thendral Award” Creative Writers’ “Ivory Eagle Award” ” Best Teacher 2022 to 2023″ by JCI and certified as one of the “Best Writers”, one of the “Consistent Writers” in the Profound Writers group. She is a nature lover and a language lover.
She loves writing poems and articles. Always she wishes to be the best teacher and the best human. I’ve joined the Creative Writers group during the pandemic.
Really it makes my time useful. Nowadays I can’t sit without writing the poem. I’ve improved myself a lot because of the group.
Mrs. D. Brinda, admin of the group is a friendly and a kind human always with a smile. Daily a background will be provided with a title.
The opening and closing of the group is so unique and sharp. Punctuality is maintained very strictly by our admin.
Regular contributors will receive a e-certificate every month both for writing and reviewing with the signature of dignitaries.
Every year we, the members of the Creative Writers group gather for the book release and award function. We enjoy it as a family function wholeheartedly and everyone leaves the place with sweet memories overloaded.
I feel happy and blessed to be a part of the group.
