Nyeri County Senator Wahome Wamatinga has advised farmers in the region to joined organised forums like Saccos and other registered groups in order to fully benefit from government funding.
Joining established groups is the only sure way of easily getting funding since the government could only channel resources through established and clearly organized forums.
Speaking during a dairy farmers symposium held in Mweiga on Friday,Β Wamatinga noted that there are many funds available if farmers joined hands for a common goal.
The one day Dairy AgriTec and Farm Machinery Expo attracted thousands of farmers from the mountain region.
Dozens of exhibitors showcased their prowess on how they can partner with farmers.
These included feeds manufacturers, feeds machinery makers, chemicals and drugs manufacturers, banks, Saccos, Land dealers among others.
The Senator noted that the Hustler’s Fund that will soon be launched targeting to benefit millions of traders will have its funds channelled through such organised groupings.
The best exhibitors were awarded trophies and certificates.
