The great pocket debate about where men should place their phones has raised a lot of concerns yet the modern men’s wardrobe may be simple but its functionality is put to the test daily. The small decisions that we make daily have a greater impact on our phones. This dilemma sparked a great debate of, ‘should men reconsider the traditional left pocket habit in favor of a right side practical alternative?
Majority of the men opt to place their smartphones on the left side of the pocket which is a default choice since they automatically believe it balances out the weight distribution especially those who carry car keys or the wallet on the right side thus making the left pocket to become a second mother nature more than a typical conscious choice.
The habits of placing smartphones on the left side meant to be reconsidered as a choice when practicality demands it however the pre convinced opinions often comes with a price that turns to be annoying and costly in reality.
Although the choice seems to be more personal, the right pocket seems to be a safer alternative since most of the men unfastens their belts or adjust it, the metal buckle ends up swinging to the left knocking against the left pocket where the smartphone is tucked. This results in severe damage of cracks, scratches and the regret of a preventable mishap that is simple to men.
At times men associate the cracks to children assuming it being caused by babies playing with their phones.
Some men argue that switching phones to the right sounds unnatural in a normal scenario, the unexpected bills incurred during repair might put them in a place of adopting the right pocket or opting for other options that are safer.
