In order to live a healthy life, the human body needs not only healthy food, physical training, but also regular sleep. A person who respects himself first of all pays attention to himself. For personal development, it is necessary to follow a healthy lifestyle.
After all, life is given to a person only once. How to live it is in one’s hands. The role of sleep is also important for living such a healthy life. Five to eight hours of sleep a night is enough. Because the sages emphasized that eating too much and sleeping too much is harmful to health.
Another hadith says: “Sleeping in the morning reduces sustenance.” It is not difficult for anyone who has heard or read this information to understand that it is necessary to follow the concept of the norm even in sleep. In one of the hadiths of the Prophet, peace be upon him, he said: “Whoever sleeps after the “Asr prayer, will lose his mind and become a madman. After that, he should not blame anyone else” (Abu Ya’la). If one or two hours of sleep are taken in the first half of the day, a person will walk easily throughout the day. This is called “qaylula”.
Our Prophet said: “Make excuses, because Satan does not make excuses. Qaylulah precedes the affliction” (Anas ibn Malik).
We have not yet developed a culture of sleep. Many people think that going to bed at a certain time and waking up at a certain time, going for a walk before going to sleep, not cursing at night, not eating enough before going to bed, and not drinking too much are sleep culture. But very few follow it.
And then they are surprised to say: “I work a lot, I’m active, but for some reason I don’t like sleeping.”
In addition, when we sleep, we restore the energy spent while awake, and our internal organs report their state to the brain.
If a person does not get enough sleep regularly (for more than a month), it will cause his intellectual abilities to decrease, his memory to weaken and other problems to arise.
The Guinness Book of Records holds the record for the person who did not sleep for the longest time, that is, he was awake for 264 hours (11 nights).
It is also clear that a person can walk without sleep for only five days, but after that he is forced to sneeze while walking, even with his eyes open. After all, biologically, the need for sleep is severe: a person can endure ten days without water, and up to a month without food. But without sleep…
In conclusion, I would like to say that if we follow the concept of moderation in everything, our life will be very beautiful. The standard of sleep is also very important for human health. So let’s focus on getting our sleep in order. Inshallah, then Allah will make our nights peaceful and our sleep useful.
