”This water is safe”, at first they said
He took the money that was paid
They later blamed this fake master
Who confused them and caused disaster
He lured them until they got impressed
Only to live the whole village depressed
Now he had poisoned their precious well
That’s why the sycophants felt unwell
Water that was clean and colourful
Turned to be contaminated and harmful
Every time he forced them to sing
They knew this was their last fling
Ironically things changed from sweet to sower
They solemnized because of the imaginary power
To the well, they had no one to send
That’s how their droll story came to an end
With water which was unsafe for drinking
They showed penitence for their wishful thinking
