There is this song that goes like this: “…The blood of Christ Jesus, has power to BREAK EVERY CHAIN**.” This is so real and it is effected through the power of prayers in faith. “Taste the Lord and see that He is good..”(Psalm 34:8), the psalmist says. In essence he is stating: pray, request and hope from the Lord God and in His perfect timing He will answer.
I remember the words of my spiritual father in Deliverance Church as he says God answers in three ways: YES, NO and WAIT. If God says Yes to your prayers, be thankful. On the other hand, He can say No, be thankful still, as He is the one Who closes some doors. Sometimes, He can say, WAIT; and the battle of the mind to most of us here. Some or, most begin to ask questions, some doubts cross the mind. But in all this, God does NOT change: He is the same yesterday, today and forever more.
Perhaps, we ought to pray more for patience. Consider the Scripture: “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing” (James 1:3, 4). This is critical in most Holy faith we confess. We have learned about giants of faith, who have had to wait long for their desires to be fulfilled. First in line is our Father Abraham who hoped against all hope: “Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”(Romans 4:18).
