THE PRISONER OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH AND THROUGH

It is written: “And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutes thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecute: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” (ACTS 9:3-5).

Saul of Tarsus was on his way to the city of Damascus in Syria to kill any believers he could find there when he ran into Jesus of Nazareth—the very Jesus he hated. Saul responded in an instant and humbled himself. Trembling there on the ground before the Lord, he said, “What wilt thou have me to do?” (Acts 9:6). Later, in Damascus, the Lord showed him what he was going to suffer for the Gospel. The message was direct: “You are my chosen vessel, and you will suffer many things for this cause I give you.”

The apostle Paul worshipped Jesus with a total abandonment of all his natural credentials and lived in complete compliance to the Holy Spirit. When he desired to travel to certain cities and he felt the Holy Spirit constraining him, he didn’t go. When others warned him not to go certain places and he felt the Holy Spirit was persuading him to go, he went obediently disregarding the threat to his life: he simply identified himself as a prisoner of Christ Jesus. Wow, what does it take to reach this level of surrender? Commitment) and dedication?

GOD HELP US, LET US BE PRISONERS OF JESUS CHRIST ALL THROUGH: AMEN.

Evangelist Eric Musa:

(My message continuously: If you are not saved: Believe, accept, receive and confess Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and be filled with the Holy Spirit, as it is written; “NOW is the acceptable time, TODAY is the day of SALVATION.- 2 Cor 6:2”.
