Deep inside the comfort,
Of the Houses Of Convention,
They congregate and mumble,
Like a distraught herd of jumbo,
Speaking of dejavu sanctions,
Yet they fail to tame corruption.
They conspire against their own,
Legislating punitive remedies
For the Have Nots,
And still they escape the same traps,
By wanton use of corruption-money.
These scarecrows
Burrow through the grain’s brain pan
And devour the nation’s dry nipples
Leaving thin strings of promise,
The diseased nation stumbles then
From penury’s overdose and this politically
Sick domain
Whose therapy is but anon.,
They pose as vigils, yes but from behind
They break the spine of hope
And become stealers of autonomy
To subsequently incriminate the
Commons
Who have never been to the Convention
Fields!
