There Was A Land Far Far Away

There was a land far far away,

A place as warm as the sun,

Named as the gun.

A bullet and a trigger fell in love,

Everyone.

This one also contained a twist,

Their was a barrel that lived between their affection,

On the outside he was a cheerful fellow,

But he too had a secret,

That made him grey.

The barrel had his eyes on the bullet,

Since she had arrived at the gun,

But she only saw trigger because of his confident nature.

As the barrel watched their love grow,

He became more and more askew,

He thought upon a plan,

To snatch bullet away from trigger,

In his mind it was well devised.

The temperature of the gun began to cool down,

Trigger and bullet decided to elope to start a life together,

That’s when the barrel decided to play…

He made bullet go the wrong way,

Bullet who thought of him as a friend,

Took his advice and came to a dead end…

She heard someone approaching near her,

That’s when she spun to find the barrel behind her,

He took a swing, and knocked her cold.

She  woke up to voices screaming her name,

She lifted her head and saw a bloodshed,

Trigger was lying at the tip of the gun,

Screaming at barrel to let his precious bullet go,

Bullet who was still a bit dizzy,

Looked at herself and cried out in shock,

For the blood on the ground was hers,

She had been sabotaged by the barrel,

She could see her life flickering before her eyes.

That’s when she made a decision,

And looked trigger in the eyes,

Trigger understood what she meant to say,

But never in his wildest imaginations,

Did he wanted to let her leave him this way.

The barrel was approaching her again,

and this time with a force to make her stumble,  So wouldn’t have her way,

With tears in her eyes and longing of love,

She couldn’t cherish.

The trigger knew if he go through with her plan, He will never be able to forgive himself,

But bullet called out to him,

“My love if we cannot be together here,

Let us meet when the stars have planned,

I have loved you the same as the day I came,

Do not let me die by the hands of barrel’s game”.

Trigger with a force got up from the edge,

Looked at the barrel with hate and detest,

Trigger let out a cry,

“Do not be afraid,

You won’t be alone for too long,

I’ll soon follow you because I cannot live a moment without you,

I’ll save you from him,

So he doesn’t harm you again,

I have loved you and will forever more”.

With this declaration;

The trigger leaped towards the barrel,

The barrel spun around,

The trigger pushed himself on the ground,

The Bullet became free and dashed across the barrel,

As soon as this happened,

The gun let out a devastating cry, and

That is when the bullet died.

The barrel couldn’t belive his eyes,

He went blind with his guilty conscience,

As for the trigger,

He let out a hefty sigh,

Went back to his home,

Where he couldn’t live his life.

A few months later,

The people at the gun visited his home,

Worried about his health,

As he hadn’t gone out in a while,

They entered his house only to find,

That he had rusted in a corner and died.

The neighbours found a note beside him,

On it was written,

“Here lies the trigger, who couldn’t save his bullet,

I died with her, inside the barrel of the gun”
