Have you planned to meet your best friend suddenly one day before he sends you a message that he will not be able to come again that there’s an emergency until another day, what will you feel? For a quick answer you will feel bad and the main reason is not to waste your time as many claim it is because his coming to you was a cure for certain emotions that already rose up only when you agreed to meet him and if you have a romantic relationship you will spend more on thinking the reasons behind his postponing because disappointments has hurt your feelings.
We have seen that in every emotion there is something to be done so if it is not done then your emotions will be hurt. The emotional wound (psychological trauma) varies in size depending on the type of feeling you have. For example if your trusted partner became a traitor and eventually broke the relationship the resulting emotional wound will take time and its healing is not easy and will greatly affect you if you lack self-healing techniques.
No doubt you have seen people with new behaviors soon after they were diagnosed with certain disorders, alcoholism, theft, hooliganism, delayed remarriage and distrust of relationships, etc. Because after feeling hurt the next thing is for the person to find a new habit that will help him/her to forget the pain , then there is a problem that many choose a behavior that is instead of treating to them to heal its just become the most oppressive for example after a person is left in a relationship it makes him continue to suffer because he will be left again for dishonesty that created during suffering
When emotions get hurt, try to accept the situation first and also in the new behavior choices just choose that will make you improving and feel better not to choose alcohol and do not choose revenge but choose to improve yourself so that even if it happens again then many reasons do not lie to you, follow these steps:
- Accept the situation.
- Do not develop self-indulgent behaviors for a while such as getting drunk etc, but look for behaviors that will improve you the most
- Give yourself a long time to improve when you are better will build your confidence.
- If you are satisfied that you have improved now you can move on to another life and if you can avoid the triggers that will make you remember how you were emotionally traumatized.
