UNIVERSITY STUDENTS SHOULD REDUCE THE RATE OF ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

Alcohol consumption in universities

Some university students have been caught in the verge of dropping out of school as a result of excessive alcohol consumption. They have turned into alcohol and drug addicts and reaching at a point of forgetting their studies and what took them to school.

Majority of these drug and alcohol addicts misuse funds meant for their upkeep and school fees. They fail to attend classes as a result of being unsober. Some of them become very violent to their lecturers and even to their fellow students.

These students who consume Alcohol and other illicit brews are very hostile especially during odd hours. They make other students especially female students to fear walking outside school at night.

These students act as bad example to other well-mannered students who are guided by their principles. They tend to influence others into drinking as a result of peer pressure and an attempt to fit in a certain social class.

Since Consumption of alcohol is not illegal for these youths, they should drink with limit. For those who cannot limit can just avoid totally so that they can fully focus on their studies. It is better to and avoid its negative effects.

Young people should avoid excessive consumption of alcohol to secure the wellbeing of their future. These illicit brews are harmful to their health. They destroy internal organs of the body. Treating diseases caused by excessive consumption of alcohol is very expensive, it is better to prevent than to cure.

More awareness should be made to these students misusing drugs and consuming alcohol excessively. Conferences and talk shows should be organized in universities to advice youths on excessive consumption of alcohol.
