The Murang’a gubernatorial campaign yesterday went to dogs after Former PS Joseph Wairagu campaign team was accused by Former PS Irungu Nyakera for reigning havoc injuring seven individuals.
“A few moments ago Former PS Wairagu campaign team ambushed my team with knives, guns and wild weapons. The damaged all my campaign vehicles and injured 7 individuals – one is in critical state at Murang’a Level 5 hospital,” Nyakera said.
Nyakera further claimed that PS Wairagu was an eye witness when his goons were perpetuating the crime, “PS Wairagu was all along at the site of crime as his people carried out the heinous acts.”
Nyakera called on IEBC to strike off Wairagu from the gubernatorial contest.
“This is retrogressive and should lead to the PS being struck off from the gubernatorial contest. This is unacceptable!!!!,” Nyakera said.
The two candidates are under Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by Deputy President William Ruto.
