Nyandarua County Governor Moses Kiarie Badilisha yesterday said his administration has no alternative other than diligently serving the residents.
The Governor said they have to deliver what the locals expect of them and they have no other choice.
“It is time for leaders to pay back to the community by diligently working to meet their expectations for we are in the offices we hold, and places we are, because of the honour of your votes,” he told a cross section of leaders drawn from across the County who had gathered for a thanksgiving Sunday service at AIC Church, Engineer town.
In a colourful ceremony also graced by the County’s First Lady Grace Kiarie, Nyandarua Senator John Methu, County Speaker Stephen Waiganjo, County Executive Committee Members Stephen Mburu Kinyanjui and Mary Kamande, and over 20 MCAs, Governor Badilisha promised to develop an urban planning master plan for Engineer town which will address among other issues the open air market and the bus park.
Acknowledging the challenges most residents are facing, the Governor assured the congregation that “no matter how daunting the challenges are, this Government’s priority, especially for productive areas like Kinangop, is value addition and establishment of at least one processing factory.”
Leaders present committed to forge a united front on all issues that seek to transform the lives of County citizens
