WE’RE ALL GOOD. WE’RE ALL BAD. THE HERO IN OUR OWN STORIES. THE VILLAIN IN SOMEONE ELSE’S…

Dr. Ritu Gupta

If you could ever know the other side of the story, you would change many of your decisions and opinions. As, we are all bad in someone’s story. The truth of life is, that we cannot please everyone or be in the good books of one and all.

Every person has their own version of a story. The way this version is presented or fabricated, to another person decides the other’s perception, about that story. It happens, when there’s a sudden goodbye, between two people. Little do they realize, that even if it’s for a short span, it can cause an everlasting damage to the relationship.

The intentions may not be wrong, but the choice of a sudden break is always ours to own up. Bitterness fills in, when things are suddenly left unresolved, on a quitting note. It is best, if the matter between the two people, is resolved within themselves, as neither the bond nor the facts are known to nor lived by anyone save the two.

But, often people rely on other’s opinions and judgements to validate or influence their decisions. The magical solution that a simple SORRY to mend it all, could have done, is made public, complicated and loud. It is a fact, that each one of us, have our own outlook and mindset. So, a fair and justifiable conclusion can never be drawn on someone else’s life based on their narrations.

If you are that person in the judging pedestal, you must ensure that your suggestions and opinions are not biased, listening to only one side of the story. People always present their version in such a way that favours them. When one criticizes or blames the other, remember, they are avoiding some truths about themselves too. Rather, you must listen to and understand the other side too,  else you will only become a part of a partial decision making.

Being a part of it, you must ensure that you don’t provoke or influence anyone without fully being aware because instead of resolving, you will only make it worse, and that is not desired not fair!
