Being only a few days remaining to the polls. It is a crucial period when we have to make a critical decision of what we want as a nation as well as an individual citizen.
We have just ventured in to the elections month august but July has been an extremely busy month in the political atmosphere. We have experienced a climax in political campaigns and most interesting the debate of the various elective positions and so what do we have to say about them.
Putting in a sober mind that whatever campaigns speeches made would much influence the choice of the people on the type of government they want or just leaders they prefer. Then it is a much bigger concern that most aspirants especially for the presidential seat battle their supremacy in throwing insults and blame game rather than their manifestos.
Talking about the debate as a ground for the various candidates to show their strengths. It has indeed given much credit to some aspirants based on their remarkable arguments to defend their manifestos as well as that of their party or coalition. But i also wouldn’t leave out that it has been much disadvantageous to most that didn’t have a good point of argument to support their side from lack of a defined strategy for their work aspirations as well as insufficient preparation. And need i remind you that most Kenyans were dependent on the debated to choose their preferable candidates.
To conclude based on the blame game and insult supremacy shown in the open campaigns including the debate, it is more likely to influence a wrong choice of behavior from the citizens arising from incitements or allegations made. And also a wrong choice of an ideal candidate.
