I look at the sun
Rising and setting
Looked deeply to the moon
Bright yet it can’t produce its own light
I felt pity
And just wondered
What is life
Early in the morning i woke up
For an hour i run to catch the first train
Not to be late at work
Too determined yet am always mistreated
I felt pity
And just wondered
What is life?
At length i listened to a conversation
About them that are happy
At the moment i thought
They enjoy life to the fullest
But a minute’s pause
I learnt they are even more stressed
I felt pity
And just wondered
What is life?
I looked at darkness
So mysterious when it is ruling
Even a single sound shakes the might
Its cause is still unfound
For the bad that happens can’t be explained.
I felt pity
And just wondered
What is life?
I looked at peace
And the happiness of love
When all is good and calm
Then comes the mistrust
Caused by nothing my uneasy
Save the grave and death
The love birds part ways
I felt pity
And just wondered
What is life?
What is life?
That it can be desired and lived
Giving proof that nothing is vanity
Teaching the unthankful mortals its own lessons
While it denies the humble happiness and gives it to the proud
I feel pity
And amย still wondering
What is life?
