Worth Noting:
- Empowering women is not about plenty of hoardings and placards, but it is; to pave way for the deprived people with the basal essentials of life including emotional support. There still exists a section of people, for whom; a regular meal that satisfies hunger abundantly is a luxury.
- How much more difficult it becomes when we instead of comforting and helping, start making it difficult by throwing unnecessary stigmas in the name of society. Why people gets so excited in being authoritative in everyone’s life and has a completely clashing viewpoint when it comes on self!! When we feel terrible being judged, ruled upon, gossiped about, why is it so exciting about others?
While celebrating the quintessential International women’s day, applauding huge slogans on gender equality and women empowerment… how much path have we actually covered yet and how much afflictions have we successfully diminished from the society!!
Well that’s a tiny question that hits the nooks and corner of the walls of the society making huge roars, to answer which, immense fear persists as it might unveil the hypocrisy of many.
Women empowerment… Is it just limited to choosing outfits without inhibitions or being comfortable in your skin, showcasing it and return back safely after partying hard!! Or is it just being capable of blabbering few cursing words in ‘iinglish ishtyle’ to merge into the section one doesn’t belong to or simply creating replicas of the latest fashion that may turn the so called women empowerment stand fit into modernization!! Somewhere among all these has our mindset least touched the edges of modernization!
A woman when stands for herself, turns into an eyesore to many. Be it education, employment, hobbies, profession or marriages, women are meant to sacrifice and adjust for the entire life; isn’t this what is expected… so much that it has turned into the core responsibility of women and parameter to judge her identity!! No matter what is her ambition, dreams, preferences; everything comes to a halt because she belongs to the gender considered inferior in this patriarchal society. She is meant to lose everything, sacrifice with a happy face, put up a smile without complaint to pave way for the superior gender as per the community. Exceptions do exists, but the ratio isn’t sufficient enough to attenuate the chauvinism that exists.
But among all the challenges the most unfortunate situation is when a lady stands against another in terms of envy, arrogance and hatred to curse another when their dummy expectations of societal acceptance isn’t fulfilled. They are the same people who glorifies the lady in a daily soap when she fights against all odds to stand for herself or someone from a different household; but criticizes and disapproves of anyone, if from her own family, then the real chants about the society, rules of sacrificing, principles of adjustments; come into life. Shall it be called hypocrisy or dual standard? Does it even matter? Will it bring any peace to the silent fighters!!
Life isn’t easy, it never plays easy on us… People are too quick in passing judgments, jumping into a conclusion because they cannot spare time in perceiving the causes, rather it would be exciting to sit and gossip.
“When she is a daughter, she opens the door of heaven for her father,
When she is a wife she completes half of the religion of her husband,
When she is a mother, heaven lies under her feet.”
Hatred is available in abundance, something that is scarce is kindness, humanity, and of course understanding listeners. Why choose to be the cause of pain when we can be the source of comfort, and support to our dear ones!! A never ending struggle… a war within self, exists unknown to the world, why just believe in the cloaked smile people flashes and not put a little effort in digging into the hearts of people instead of digging into the sources to accumulate gossips.

Why people gets so excited in being authoritative in everyone’s life and has a completely clashing viewpoint when it comes on self!! When we feel terrible being judged, ruled upon, gossiped about, why is it so exciting about others? Over the years women exploitation has been a common practice, the world has witnessed innumerable victims to it, her helplessness has always been taken advantage of, women themselves have repeatedly suppressed their identity in fear of again… the society. When we are chanting about the empowerment it is to let go the ropes of older times, it is to stand for one’s own dignity, identity and self respect. It is to bring about a change in the minds of the people from a generation where yielding to everything was inevitable.
Each woman is special, they have their own unique charm. It is not important to destroy other’s beauty to make one’s beauty shine brighter, it is keeping an accepting heart and a beautiful soul to outstand every hatred and criticism that comes our way.
It is high time to give up on the thought to be like someone we are created differently from, it is to be comfortable being ourselves. It is to hold our courage intact even when the entire world stands out in contradiction and disapproval.
A misdeed, when carried by the whole world still stands wrong, similarly a virtuous deed no matter if performed just by one still stands virtuous.
After several years of monotonous rules wont it be great to take tiny steps towards educating the self to be a better person everyday… Being a lady with principles that justifies woman herself; kindness, purity, supportive, empathetic, modest, and of course devoted.
Once Amy Morin said,
“Be the woman who fixes another women’s crown without telling the world that it was crooked”
To live this rule it needs a lot of courage, a mind free from envy ; it isn’t possible for everyone who is busy polishing her own in order to make the rest appear dull. However, till the world has it’s existence there will be women who will stand disparate among all the rest, they are fearless, confident, attractive by their nature and will be capable enough to deal with their own problems without bothering others and will keep supporting too. They may raise their maintenance higher but at the same time they are also capable of paying their own bills.
“Don’t be afraid of being outnumbered,
Cause a tigress always walks alone while the sheep flock together.”
Such tigresses will forever exist and will keep walking alone… Fearless, confident and strong. Their belief in themselves and Almighty is sufficient to deal with every challenges. She may feel shattered at times, but will not lose, life might toss her several times into the ground to her knees, but every time she’ll use that position to supplicate to her God and emerge to an even stronger human being.
How wonderful would it be, if every year when the world celebrates womanhood on the special day the number of such women keeps growing.
