Youths in Kenya forms a big portion of 23% of Kenya total population. This implies that, this huge number of youths makes the big number of young employed persons and also unemployed ones in Kenya. These are individual who are in an age blanket of 18-34, who are active biologically.

The increase demand of employment by these youths has left a big number of them unemployed forcing some of these youths to engage in illegal actives. For instance in our cities and towns cases of youths snatching phones in the streets has increased while others snatching handbags for ladies.

However, youths can solve this problem by joining hands together to form Sacco’s in order to empower themselves and also embrace the culture of saving since reports shows that young people do not save their income but instead spend all their incomes in clubs on weekends. For instance, tournaments that are held in mashinani gives youth an opportunity where they can get capital, simply winners get up to ksh. 50,000.

Youths can invest this money they win in tournaments and invest in business generating income in order to reduce depression among them.

These Sacco’s come with tremendous benefit since they can be able to get loans easily from banks, equip the entrepreneurial skill and also they can get education on how they can invest to help them in their lives.

Youths should embrace Sacco’s since even these big banks in world like Equity bank stated as a result of fine gentlemen coming together to achieve a goal. It is not too late for youths to be in Sacco’s. The life of tomorrow is determined by what we do today.
