Youths have been urged to engage themselves in community works sponsored by government and non-government institutions unto will assist them to identify and fill the gaps with unemployment.
Kemboi Foundation which is a brain child of Kericho based lawyer has said youth plays a critical role in the community when given an opportunity to serve in any capacities. Speaking to youths drawn from Soin Sigowet Sub County in Kericho County, Gilbert Kemboi said they are many youths who are jobless and there is to empower them through community based organizations to change their live hoods and keep off from engaging themselves in drugs.
‘For the last several years youths have been used by the political class to achieve their targeted seats and thereafter they look down on them, as Kemboi foundation we believe on equipping the young with skill and knowledge unto which help in changing one’s life to success. This journey has been realized with many youths who have benefited through many organizations and I do call upon the vulnerable in the society to take advantage of this organization,’Kemboi said.
He said engaging youths with the adults is effective in building up the nation where he asked the political class to develop a plan of enhancing the capacity building to the youth by enhancing them with knowledge majorly on safeguarding the environment through provision of seedlings to set up tree nurseries to keep the environment green. ‘As we anticipate for the green nation youths are the makers to achieve it thus Kemboi foundation is at hands to support the move where we are targeting to plan more than five hundred thousand trees in Sigowet Sub County in five years’, founder adds.

According to Kemboi he said the foundation focuses on helping the needy in the society by providing them with various needy items that will change their livelihoods where he called upon several other partners to come up together and build the community.
The Kericho based lawyer lost the Soin Sigowet legislative to Justice Kemei seat in the 2022 general election.
