Explorers of Literature Cohort was first established in January 2022 by a Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, BUAN Student, Boitumelo Makhura .

- As Agriculture Students, they are faced with the great challenge of the school having to approve their club because of their department. Still, with their determination and perseverance, the club was approved by the BUAN SRC and management.
Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Students. - The club is coordinated and sponsored by Dr. Kgomotso Jongman who is the Director of Jo Speaks Consultancy, Dr. Lame Pusetso who is also the director of Poeticblood Publishers, Dr. Mogadime Rammolai, a lecturer in BUAN and Pako Moshaga, a personal branding expert.
- The club has five representatives being part of the Ultimate Motivational Speaking Competition and has been invited to a few secondary schools around the country to ignite the passion for literature among young teens.
In a world full of different career opportunities, a group of young aspiring farmers and environmental activists couldn’t stop carrying their passion and love for literature alongside their current studies. Explorers of Literature Cohort was first established in January 2022 by a Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, BUAN Student, Boitumelo Makhura who is a literature enthusiast. With the help of her fellows, the club started to register more people in May 2022, and they began meeting every Thursday to ignite their passion for Literature.
‘’The club comprises of writers, poets, aspiring motivational speakers, public speakers, spoken word artists and all talents that have to do with words,’’ she mentioned. The objectives of the club are to:
Give all youngsters who love literature in BUAN an opportunity to explore their talent.
Improve the way of life of different students using Literature.
Create a different path of learning where students can take a breather from their course.
Upgrade the recognition of literature in our country.
Assist all those who have dreams of showing off their skills to find exposure with different stakeholders.

The club president hopes this club will inspire all the literature fanatics and lovers to never abandon their passion and continue striving to have it recognized and appreciated. She advises all the young people to start somewhere even in their schools to advocate for literature as it is time for Africans to share their history with the world including the younger generations.
