Gaborone, Botswana.

What is plagiarism?

The act of taking someone’s ideas and passing them as one’s own.

Similar word is copying.

*Plagiarism is punishable by law that is why we have the word copyright ©.

Copyright is the exclusive and assignable legal right given to a person to publish, reproduce or record.

Today we got plagiarism checker applications that detect copyright content from documents or assignments.

Note that if one is caught, this is not a good thing as plagiarism is punishable by law.

Original owner of the content can sue the offenders, if in school one can be expelled or suspended even fail.

Copyright infringement

This is the use of the works protected by copyright without without permission for usage.

Creatives and content creators you need to register and protect your ideas in places assigned in your country to protect ideas, and content!

In Botswana CosBots call creatives now and then to inform and teach about this now and then.

Plagiarism is any act of taking other people’s ideas such as merely copy and pasting words, content on Facebook and passing them as your own.

In books or literature we need you to learn to reference the owner of the words or content!

At the end of last page one need to indicate the authors, year of publication, and title of the journal or book they took references from.

We do not mention words and pass as intelligent ones; it is wiser to mention the person who said that first.

We have a hungry mentality of passing out as very smart, the desire to win, but this is dangerous as nothing comes fast or easy, it takes years of patience and hardwork, few can do it fast, but majority must trust the process of building wisdom and the road to success, no short cuts.

Note we; learn to acknowledge those who help you, charity begins at home.

Some people are good at taking but cannot give and moreover cannot acknowledge the source of help or content.

This is the spirit that makes one get boldness to steal ideas, words, content or simply be helped and pass like they genuinely knew the path and reached destiny on their own.

We wish you a very wonderful October.

As we wrap up September 2022 and get into a new season.

Read, listen, be patient with yourself.

Be You.
