Despite that the society has focused so much in empowering women, young women still undergoes alot of problems in the society. Society still neglects young women.
This has seen some drop out of schools because of early teenage pregnancies, others languishing in poverty, early marriages; others abuse drugs and turn into addicts ruining their lives and their health.
Though there are several platforms for them to speak out issues affecting them they still suffer privately because they fear speaking out.
These happen especially to the young women who are married because they fear that they will be ridiculed by their spouses, battered and some even treathen.
In today’s society young women are the one providing for their families and when doing so they encounter alot of problems. Showing women love and care will help reduce their stress and make them feel a part of the society.
The society needs to allow young women to express themselves in the platforms offered and by doing so their mental health will be improved as well as reducing gender inequality.
