By David Jomo
When the sun goes down
Chicks shiver in the bush
Cocks warm up their brides
The hatman ties his cows
While old ladies smoke up their kitchens.
When the sun goes down
Tv remotes find fingers
And radios reads the lessons
Buds closes their mouths a bit
As grass begin to breathe oxygen.
When the sun goes down
Sam will drop his tie down
While others will tighten lance of their boots
Some will close their shops
Others will walk to the street close naked
When the sun goes down
Bars will bubble their glasses
While in apartment coffee shall aroma
Bible will be layed for families to read
Nets will zip up hatred of distance fellows.
White headed boys says in a whisper
When the doors of darkness open
A day is put to rest, ‘it was dusk and it was dawn’
Songs of sorrow in rejoice are sung
When the sun goes down.
