KEROCHE BREWERIES STATEMENT ON APPRECIATION OF SOLIDARITY OF LOCAL LEADERS IN NAKURU COUNTY ON THE BUSSINESS OPERATIONS, DISRUPTIONS AND THE NEED FOR CREATION OF ENABLING BUSSINESS ENVIRONMENT FOR LOCAL BUSINESS POST COVID

I would like to take this opportunity first to thank the UDA fraternity lead by the incoming Governor Nakuru Susan Kihika, MPs present and leaders in Nakuru county who didn’t hesitate to avail themselves when i gave a distress call yesterday when the KRA officers enforced a closure notice to the the Keroche Breweries for last six months five times consecutively
You’ve shown mercy when I need a shoulder to lean on and people who I could talk and share my grievances that befall Keroche Breweries which has employed almost 400 people direct and 20,000 indirectly who solely depend on the brewery to feed their families and earn a living for the longest period of time.
Its hasn’t been easy going through this draconian, unjust acts application in the name of enforcement tax obligation in a country where the agenda and promise of Buy Kenya Build Kenya is now taking center stage but unfortunately that isn’t the case.
Our local manufacturers are supposed to be given a fair playing field, avoid undermining because our common enemy is poverty and the only way is to fight for local enterprises to remain afloat, thrive so that we can grow jobs, create employment for our people…That’s the only spirit of Buy Kenya Build Kenya.
Am glad and lost for words to thank you for sparing your precious time and availing yourself to give an helping hand to me and walk the talk for fight and justice, equality of our local manufacturers and enterprises in this Kenya.
God bless you my brothers and sisters for that bold move and solidarity that you’ve shown me yesterday and let that spirit continue in our midst because together we stand and divided we fall.

Keroche Breweries CEO issued the above statement after Nakuru County political leadership demanded fair playground for investors and castigated the government through KRA for harassing local investors at the expense of foreigners.
The leaders noted that as result of the recent closure of the Breweries, thousands of Kenyans who either directly or indirectly gain from it will suffer.
