Priscila Nyokabi intensifies her Nyeri senatorial seat bid

Former Nyeri County Women representative Priscila Nyokabi has intensified her bid to be the third Senator in the area.
Nyokabi who recently quit the Commission for Gender and Equality where she was a commissioner is optimistic of winning the Jubilee party nominations for the senatorial position as well as flooring other parties and independent contenders during the August 9th General Election.
She she announced the move to rejoin the political world, she has been activating her political network by among other things,ย meeting opinion leaders supportive of her bid and also meeting various groups.
In the photo, Nyokabi is seen meeting women group members from Mbuki area, Gatugi in Karima ward, Othaya constituency yesterday.
Just like yesterday,ย she has been outlining various issues that goes with the office of a Senator saying she is the right candidate to represent Nyeri County.
In the Jubilee preliminaries,ย she will be battling it with among others businessman Newton Muraya.
Others who have expresses interest and are expected to contest on August 9 include former Mukurwe-ini MP Kabando wa Kabando who is running on Narc Kenya ticket, businessman Wahome Wamatinga who will be running on UDA ticket and businessman Wambugu Nyamu of Democratic Party of Kenya (DP).
