The vibrant city of Nairobi witnessed a celebration of cultural fusion and culinary excellence at the launch of Sayari Restaurant, located in PrideInn Westlands. The event, graced by influential figures and gastronomy enthusiasts, featured remarks by Aaliyah Hasnain, emphasizing the restaurant’s commitment to diversity and exceptional dining experiences.
Sayari, which means “planet” or “universe” in Swahili, aptly reflects the restaurant’s vision of bringing together flavors from around the world under one roof. Aaliyah Hasnain, speaking passionately during the launch, expressed her excitement about Sayari’s potential to become a cultural hub where people can explore and appreciate diverse cuisines in a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance.
“Sayari has only one meaning, which is just One word, six letters, “ Planet” It’s just one word filled with multiple meanings that all arise to the same conclusion. When we say Planet we mean diverse cultures, when we say planet we mean an eco-friendly design, when we say planet, we mean friendly interactions and when we say planet we mean enjoyment to the fullest.” Remarked Hasnain.
The launch event showcased a menu crafted to tantalize the senses, featuring a fusion of international dishes alongside traditional Kenyan flavors. Guests were treated to a gastronomic journey that mirrored the ethos of Sayari – inclusivity and excellence.
“I believe Sayari is not just a restaurant but a place where culinary arts meet cultural exploration,” remarked Hasnain, highlighting the significance of such establishments in promoting understanding and appreciation across communities.
