Some leaders who have been seeking various seats from various places have been rude to their opponents by them using some words that look like hate speech.
NCIC were able to come up with some words that they expect the leaders to observe and not use them in public since they can lead to war and disunity. Leaders who have the leadership skills should be observant to these words since they should be the people leading to unity in our nation but not disunity.
A case of an aspirant in the Member of County Assembly (MCA) at Gatitu/Muruguru ward in Nyeri yesterday, Wanjithi was able to use ill language to one of the villagers since the villager showed that she supported the other side. She went on harassing a shop attendant by not paying her the bill that she had used. This is a very unlawful act for someone who requires those people whom she is mistreating them.
A good leader should be on the frontline to bring his or her people together rather than making them be in bad terms. When leaders show these leadership skills they are the people who are then fit to be leaders since leadership is a call. Tomorrow being the nomination day, leaders should give chance to their opponents so that they can do their campaigns peacefully even if they have no one supporting them.
When leaders will stop using the abusive language the country will be far much ahead since there will be no hate speech.
