Now, what happens when Jesus is at home in our hearts and we are infused with the power of the Holy Spirit? We become “rooted and grounded in love” (v. 17). We are securely fixed and permanently immersed in God’s love. The Holy Spirit is flooding our hearts with His love (Read & meditate on Romans 5:5), and thus His love flows through us to others.
Furthermore, in this attitude and perspective of love, we are “able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge” (Ephesians 3:18-19). The love of God is not reserved for just a few “lucky” believers. It is for all saints. God desires for all believers to know the immense and vast love He has for His children—the breadth, length, depth, and height of His compassion toward us.
No group of believers today has a lock on God’s love! God’s love is for black saints, white saints, Hispanic saints, Catholic saints, Baptist saints, Charismatic saints, and all saints of every description. When Jesus is at home in all of us through the power of the Holy Spirit, and we are rooted and grounded in God’s love, there is no limit to what God can accomplish in the Church.
