Doesn’t the all-knowing God know all our needs (Matt 6:8)? We don’t pray to inform God about our needs, we pray to invite God into our situations. God responds to our invitation. Prayer is self-care. When we consistently talk to God, we change the way we talk to people. To be in the Spirit entails also being in prayers always as the compass in our lives. The holy scripture encourages as that even in our weaknesses, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us and makes groaning before the Father in ways that words cannot utter( Romans 8:26)
When you learn how to submit to God in prayers, you’ll never struggle submitting to your partner or boss. Praying changes us, and thereby, we live harmoniously with others. Living a prayerful life creates inner peace even in the midst of storms. No matter what you go through, you don’t panic because you know God is in control.
Prayer is our secret weapon. If you want God to promote you publicly, seek Him privately (Matt 6:18). If you struggle to pray for even ten minutes, it’s evident that you don’t pray consistently – you are spiritually disadvantaged. You reactivate your prayer life by praying consistently. God does NOT help you to pray, God helps you as you pray. The decision to pray is squarely yours.
