INVOKE
I invoke you
Usher call after call
I call you repeatedly
All day and night
I call you from
Inner recesses of my heart
You will heed to my calling
Surely someday.
MIND
Disinclined guest
What shall I serve you
Ghee or oil
Nothing seems appealing
To an indisposed mind
This is all resolute
Of heart.
3.VICE AND VIRTUE
Uniting with you
Was my virtue
Parting with you—damnation.
Surviving with your reveries
Is my virtue
Obliterating you—– my vice.
4.LOST WHILE SMILING
Wrote death before life
When the Goddess of life
Started imparting life
She smiled
Seeing her, I too smiled.
How, I have forgotten now,
All this absolutely.
Do you recall
That smile of mine
Smile of mother
That is lost now
And has left me alone.
- PEOPLE WAIT FOR OPPORTUNITY
It is not right
To be very simple
People are in search of chance
Won’t even let you know
And will cut your nerve
It is not good
To be so uninvolved
- IT HAPPENS ONLY IN LOVE
I say –day
And you deem night as day.
I say—night
And you deem day as night.
We are both in unison
Because of love.
Only love can really
Make us totally blind.
- EXPANSE FILLED WITH SAND
My heart got wings
A deep aspiration arose in my heart
Running and running
I arrived at so many places
Though in front of me was
Sea full of sand
Still in dunes
Creating an illusion
Aspiration is my everlasting treasure
I am wandering in this deserted place
O! My Creator, I am willing to die
But don’t kill me unquenched.
8.MIND TURNS UNGRATEFUL
If I speak bluntly
I appear fiendish
And unpleasant
I am not to be blamed for it
Your taste is liable for it
When mind turns ungrateful
Is full of malice
Is not able to discriminate
Who is own and who is outsider
- I WANT TO KNOW REALITY
I won’t be tempted by
Rolling balls of the Sun and the Moon
I want to know the reality
Whether the Earth is resting
On hood of Sheshnag
Or on the horns of a bull?
I want to apprehend reality
Whether we are rooted in the Earth
Or we are tied to a string from heavens.
I want to know the fact
Whether I will keep wandering
In some deserted land
Or shall I fly in the sky
On my own wings
With thoughtfulness of some other fellow.
I want to know the reality
Whether this sky is
In between legs of
A small winged creature
Or on the fingertips of some Krishna
I won’t be tempted by
Vibgyor created by rain and clouds
I want to know the reality
