Businessman Thuo Mathenge has opened a chain of businesses in Nakuru City.
Under the flagship of BradeGate Food Industries, the initiative has seen dozens of jobless Kenyans get employed.
The Nakuru City establishment was officially launched last Friday during a colourful ceremony that was witnessed by thousands of residents in the newest City in the country.
The businesses are based at the city’s Section 58 area, and next to National Oil station.
It comprises of BradeGate Supermart, BradeGate Organic Coffee, BradeGate Pizza, Noo Wangùkù Chomazone and Hotel as well as a Bar and Liquor centre.
Dr Mathenge opened the chain in conjunction with his Bantu Africa Resort which is based a few kilometres from Nyeri town, Nyeri County where he has political interests.
Apart from the Nakuru City establishment, the businessman cum politician has in the recent times opens other such facilities in Meru and Nairobi counties, creating the much needed employment opportunities among Kenyans.
During the Friday ceremony, Dr Mathenge revealed that he had plans of establishing new ventures and told rich Kenyans to consider investing their cash in the country, more so in rural counties.
He said there was no point of keeping money in bank accounts, either in the country or in the foreign land, when millions of citizens remained jobless.
Nakuru County residents thanked Dr Mathenge for considering to invest in their county.
