Former Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui

Former Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui has been awarded the prestigious National Diversity and Inclusion Awards and Recognition (DIAR awards) for eminent persons.
Governor Kinyanjui was feted for his work and dedication to humanity.
The awarding ceremony which involved other individuals was held at Sarit Centre, Westlands in Nairobi last Friday.
The award recognition has been a catalyst for improvement of services, settings of standards, sustenance of positive change and multiplication of change agents.
It is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to diversity, equity, inclusion and belongings at workplace and society and expanded expectations for Persons with Disabilities, women and girls, the youth, marginalized and vulnerable population.
Also awarded are those who have made contributions towards peace, cohesion and environmental sustainability.
Yesterday, the former governor thanked the organisers for recognising his contribution to the society and awarding him.
John Gakunga, a close friend of the former governor said he deserved the award for his exemplary performance in different capabilities that he has served the Kenyan society, more so as the second governor of the forth City in the country.
Dr Mwaura Gacheiya, had the following to post on learning that the former governor had been awarded by DIAR, “Heko sana H. E. Good leaders build a lasting legacy. You have a legacy to be proud of. You are a good leader. Great leaders build cultures. You built a culture of honesty, belief in individual abilities. You are a great leader. Good leaders deliver results. You delivered the city status for Nakuru. You are a good leader. Great leaders develop people. You developed us as our role model. You are a great leader. Good leaders have vision. Your vision for Nakuru residents is ably engraved in their hearts for us in UBUNTU, we have our trust in the vision you carry. We’ll won sir. Well deserved. Congratulations sir.”
