In the heart where rivers run deep,
And whispers of history softly weep,
The Congo breathes beneath a sky vast,
A land of sorrow, shadows cast.
Mountains rise where the ancients tread,
Echoes of laughter and tears long shed,
Emerald forests, a vibrant embrace,
Hold secrets of pain, yet cradle grace.
Children’s laughter at dawn’s gentle light,
Yet dreams are burdened by an endless fight,
In the market bustling with color and sound,
Hope mingles sweetly with struggles profound.
From the mines where the diamonds gleam,
To the valleys where farmers nurture their dream,
Resilience weaves through the fabric of souls,
Their stories of courage, the future consoles.
O rivers, carry our prayers upstream,
To the heart of our nation, ignite the dream,
For peace to blossom like flowers in spring,
And freedom to dance, on the winds of living.
Let justice rise as the sun meets the day,
With voices united, show us the way,
In the heart of the Congo, where spirits fly free,
We’ll write our own story in harmony.
