- It is at this point when comrades always comes to learn the importance of self-reliance apart from relying on parents since even parents at that point are always not in a stable condition to support all comrades need yet life must also continue.

- The urge to provide for daily lives forces comrades to engage in other activities that endangers their lives since some goes to an extent of engaging in criminal activities to earn daily lives.
It is a reality that campus is not what people think about it. The constructed notions that publics have towards campus life is not clear in the ground. The cover of book does not project what is inside at whole. I’m here to give you reality of the campus.
Joining campus in first year has always been characterized with lots of expectations due to the old narrative that terms campus to be a free zone.
A free zone with less education but lots of time for partying and enjoyment, a free zone where no one is subjected to a strict rule as compared to secondary school life,
All the expectations later on come to be full of disappointment due to changing campus life after joining.
In first year, while one is still having enough money from parents, life seems to move smoothly until that time when pocket dries up.

As some ends up facing the wrath of the law, some even loses their lives by the mob when they are attacked after being g found guilty of theft.
As some struggles to find better ways to earn their daily lives, some are on another point are being finished slowly by slowly by toxic campus relationship that causes lots of depression especially due to disagreements and fights rising from some kinds of relationships.
Many comrades will be seen around school having packets of sweets, not for their own consumption but sales. Comrade will use all means to persuade you to buy their sweets with an aim to get something to eat.
When it comes to meals, sukuma wiki has become a common unit to all comrades since is the most affordable and an available meal to all comrade in this era. Having other meals is quite blessings that comes at once, the first few weeks during the beginning of semester and when HELB loan is disbursed.
It was once said that campus studies its quiet cheap compared to secondary education system but this seems to be a joke.
It’s at this stage where we have the best mwakenya generators. One of the comrades said that Degree ni harambee, comrades are always busy to find all means to avoid supplementary exams or to be in the list of discontinued students due to failure of some units.
This shows how campus life is not a free zone as it was thought to be and for one to be successfully graduate, he/she has to be ready to endure conditions in university
